4000 miles
in 4000 miles I think the play was trying to show what a typical modern family goes through. I think it was suppose to teach us about life. the play kept contrasting young and old. between age, technology and ideas. It showed how two people in different stages of life were kind of both enjoying the ride.

first i would like to say that i had a hard time following the play, Im not sure if it was the dialogue or the simple fact that i wasn't sure of the genders of the characters. with that being said towards the middlish end i finally figured out what the play was about. For me the mdq of the play was would she kill Hman . To me in the beginning she seemed as if she was okay with killing him, but as it went on she appeared to be believing her lies and falling for him. in the end she did kill him but throughout the play i didn't know if she would.

Night mother
In the very beginning of the play the plot seemed to pick up very slow. Once Jamie sayed that she was planning to kill herself I almost didn't want to finish reading it. Actually I took a break from reading it (I wasn't already I the best of mood). As I continued reading it made sense why she was asking for these things. I also enjoyed how this mother daughter relationship opened up in the end. By the end of the play I didn't want her to kill herself. I found it very sad seeing someone have no reason to leave their mother.
Trifles
Trifles at first seemed like it was going to be your typical whodunit type play, but it wasn't. It analyzed the women I this world and what would drive someone to kill their husband. At some points I will admit I got confused when the women started piecing the clues together. Me as a reader didn't follow until the very end.
Overtones
As you can clearly see I have no clue how to work this thing first of all. I named my blog overtones urgh. But speaking on this play I really enjoyed it. I think it's something that everyone can relate too. It dealing with that little voice inside or head or alter ego. Even though I could see the direction it was going I liked the idea. Of wanting something you can't have and the internal struggle because it was ultimately up to you.
